Grace Church has a long history of service and outreach in our Newton and Greater Boston communities!
Grace was a founding member of Cooperative Metropolitan Ministries (CMM) in 1966 and have been a faithful supporter of CMM for over five decades.
Grace is a member congregation of the Newton-Brookline Asylum Resettlement Committee, an interfaith group of six congregations working together to provide community-based support to asylum seekers. NBARC provides, or helps find, housing, food, clothing, English language instruction, daycare, education, and opportunities for community engagement to asylum-seekers.
We are also staunch supporters of the Newton Food Pantry, with regular volunteers at the Food Pantry itself, an ongoing collection of non-perishables, Election Day Bake Sales to raise money for the Food Pantry, and family service projects, like Food Pantry Bingo.
Opportunities for community service for the whole family are regularly offered as part of our Christian Formation programming.
Grace has a long-standing Social Action Committee as well!
